Men’s Division increases to 7 teams; Rebels vs. Dream Team women’s series to be featured

The men’s division for the upcoming APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament (AABT) 2nd Conference increases to seven teams, while a six-game series between Rebels and Dream Team will be featured in the women’s division in place of a round-robin tournament.

The SoE Selection, which will carry orange as their team color, had submitted their registration and roster list to the APCRAA board last September 8. Lead by team captain Robby Valenzuela, they are composed of mostly SoE alumni who graduated from 2011 onwards. The men’s division is now composed of seven teams, which includes ASPAC Boys, Team OGs, Warriors, Team Legacy, Bumblebees and Burn Out.

Meanwhile in the women’s division, a six-game series between Team Rebels, the First Conference runner-up, and Dream Team will be held instead of a regular round-robin tournament. The games will be scheduled every two weeks from the opening day, with the sixth and final game set on December 5, before the championship game of the Men’s Division. The team with the most number of wins after the series will win the championship. If in case both teams will win three games each, the quotient system will be applied.

The schedule for the women’s division is now posted at the following link while the men’s division’s games will still be determined by draw lots after the opening ceremonies on September 12.
