Bumblebees still undefeated, stings Cav Guards

Team Bumblebees continued their domination in the ongoing APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament (AABT) 2016 seasonas they defeated the Cav Guards to tally their 3rd straight win, 103-76, on Saturday, September 3 at the APC Gymnasium.

Bumblebees team captain Brix Estabillo scored a career high 31 points, with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Norman Ringor registered his third straight double-double game with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Arie Altre and CJ Pring scored in double digits, with 14 and 11 points respectively.

Christian Tragico carried the scoring load for the Cav Guards with 31 points, with 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Ian Torres, who dominated the three point line in their game against Team OGs scored 15 points, only making 5 out of 22 attempts.

The Bumblebees dominated the whole game only, losing the lead to the Cav Guards in the last two minutes of the first half. As Torres, Mervin Quilang and Ronnie Corsino continued to struggle in the second half, the Bumblebees began to stack up their lead in the third quarter and pulled away in the fourth quarter, leading by as much as 20 points.

The Bumblebees will meet Team Alpha while the Cav Guards will face the ASPAC Boys both on September 10.
