- OGs vs Alpha (8:00pm)
Here are the four possible scenarios that may arise after Saturday’s crucial men’s division games:
Scenario 1
- Cav Guards beats Warriors
- Alpha beats OGs
Cav Guards and Alpha will advance to the semifinals. Alpha will secure the 3rd place with a 3-2 record and Cav Guards will settle in the fourth spot with a 2-3 record.
Scenario 2
- Cav Guards loses to Warriors
- Alpha loses to OGs
Alpha and OGs will advance to the semifinals, both with a 2-3 record. Based on the win-over-the-other rule, OGs will be placed in third spot, while Alpha will finish in fourth place. (Tiebreakers: section 8, rule 1).
Scenario 3
- Cav Guards beats Warriors
- Alpha loses to OGs
Alpha, OGs and Cav Guards will have identical record of 2-3. The Cav Guards won their game against the OGs, 80-76 and Alpha won their game against the Cav Guards, 92-88. Since both victories were won with 4 point lead, the Cav Guards will remain in the middle of the three teams. Alpha will secure the third spot, Cav Guards will land in fourth place and OGs will end up in the fifth spot. The formula to be used in this scenario is indicated on the tournament rules (Tiebreakers: section 8, rule 3).
Scenario 4
- Cav Guards loses to Warriors
- Alpha beats OGs
Alpha will be assured of the third place spot. OGs, Cav Guards and Warriors will have an identical record of 1-4. Quotient system will be implemented to the three teams. The Cav Guards won their game against the OGs, 80-76 and OGs won their game against the Warriors, 73-66. The final score between the Warriors and Cav Guards will be crucial to the computation of the quotient. The formula to be used in this scenario is indicated on the tournament rules (Tiebreakers: section 8, rule 3).
