Three teams who joined last year’s alumni basketball tournament signified their intention to participate in the upcoming APCRAA Basketball Tournament 2017 season. Teams Alpha, Cav Guards and ASPAC have submitted their lineups for this year’s tournament.
Team Alpha, headed by team captain Allan Dave Perez, was the first who submitted their roster to the tournament committee. The team will still have 2015 2nd Conference MVP Pepe Canseco, together with last season’s All-Defensive Team member Jhonel De Luna, together with three new players.
The Cav Guards, who are composed of APC guards, staff and alumni players, tweaked their roster for this season. Still headed by team captain Mervin Quilang, the team will still include top scorers Christian Tragico and Ronnie Corsino. New members include former OGs player Rey Prayco and alumnus Russell Mendoza. The Cav Guards will also change their color designation to orange.
Last year’s runner-up, Team ASPAC have also submitted their lineup. The team, headed by captain VG Agdamag, will still have a solid lineup which includes 2016 Rookie of the Year Joseph Gamboa, Lavesh Chadnani, Mark Pagaduan and Carlo Aboboto.
Three more teams are expected to submit their rosters before the July 1 lineups. Team Warriors, OGs and Bumblebees are still finalizing the composition of their lineup for this season.
