Team BNS notched their first win in the ongoing APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Season 5 women’s division elimination round by defeating Hydra, 37-25 on Saturday, August 17 at the Asia Pacific College gymnasium.
Hydra defeted BNS in their first matchup on July 6, 45-40, during the first round of the double round-robin eliminations. Both teams are now tied in the team standings with a 1-2 win-loss record.
BNS’ Krizia Valdez had her breakout game this season, finishing with a double-double of 11 points and 10 steals, with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. KC Carrillo had 9 points and 12 rebounds.
Chantal Saldivar, Hydra’s team captain finished the game with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 steals. Sophia Barcodo scored 5 points while dominating the boards with 13 rebounds.
