Cookies & Team made an emphatic debut after defeating rival Team OGs, 83-67 at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Season 5 men’s division elimination round on Saturday, July 13 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.
Rolem Macaspac finished with a double-double game with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Brix Estabillo led Cookies & Team in scoring with 18 points, plus 3 assists and 2 steals.
Top gun JP Redelick led the OGs’ charge with 13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. AJ Yambao posted 12 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists in his debut game with the OGs.
Cookies & Team, which acquired key players from 2018 champions 2k15 during offseason, had a 10-0 run from tipoff, setting the pace for the rest of the game. They took control for the whole game, leading by as much as 24 in the fourth quarter.
Cookies & Team will face Mille on July 20, while OGs will be back in action on July 27 against Richmond Oilers.
