Team 2k18 lives for another day after defeating Richmond Oilers in their APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season Six quarterfinal match, 78-59, on Saturday, August 13 at the APC Gymnasium.
With a close game for the first three quarters, Team 2k18 was able to pull away with a 8-2 run in the fourth quarter, securing a do-or-die game for a chance to advance to the semifinal round on August 27.
Pepe Canseco led 2k18 with 18 points and 13 rebounds. He also became the second player in ABT history to join the 500 rebounds club. He grabbed his 500th board, an offensive rebound, at the 3:47 mark of the 2nd quarter. Guess dela Cuesta earned 17 points with 9 rebounds and 4 assists.
Renzo Macaraeg of the Oilers dominated the team’s scoring with 17 points with 12 rebounds. JP Bayog contributed 15 points with 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
