Bumblebees chop Sibak, set new biggest winning margin

Team Bumblebees won their second game in the APCRAA Basketball Tournament season six men’s division eliminations after drubbing Team Sibak, 105-41 on Saturday, June 11 at the APC Gymnasium.

The 64-point winning margin shattered the old record set by the Bumblebees during the 2017 season after they defeated team OGs with a 54 point win on August 19, 2017.

Brix Estabillo lead all scorers with 30 points, with 3 rebounds and 2 steals. He also became the first ABT player to have 100 career steals after getting his 100th steal at the 8:04 mark of the 1st quarter. Rookie Jonas Calima had 15 points with 2 rebounds. Lester de Luna had 8 points with 11 rebounds and 8 assists.

VG Agdamag had a double double game for Sibak with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Elkan Pekson had 9 points with 5 rebounds.

From the opening buzzer, Team Bumblebees outclassed Sibak, limiting them to only 8 points in the first quarter. The game blew open in the fourth quarter after the Bumblebees lead reached more than 50 points.

Both teams will be back in action on June 18 as Bumblebees will be facing Titans and Sibak will be up against Richmond Oilers.
