Richmond Oilers completed a sweep in Group A for the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season Six men’s division elimination round after defeating Team Titans, 107-73 on Saturday, July 16 at the APC Gymnasium.
The sweep also gives the Oilers a twice to beat advantage in the quarterfinal round.
Jerl Ferrer is the top scorer for the Oilers with 30 points and 19 rebounds. JP Bayog scored 20 points with 4 assists. Nico Conta and JP Masa scored 11 points each.
For the Titans, rookie Justin Hernando scored a career high 47 points, with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
The Oilers had a good headstart in the game, limiting the Titans to only 8 points in the first quarter. They did not look back since then and held the lead by as much as 37 points.
Both teams will be coming back to action in the quarterfinals scheduled in August.
