Oilers tame Mustangs

Richmond Oilers won their first game in the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season Six men’s division elimination round after defeating Team Mustangs, 110-73 on Saturday, June 11 at the APC Gymnasium.

Jerl Ferrer of the Oilers had a double-double game with 26 points and 17 rebounds plus 5 assists. Renzo Macaraeg had 15 points while JP Masa also had a double double performance of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Carl Lavarro carried the scoring load for the Mustangs with 21 points while Jayvee Febrer scored 20 poinst and grabbed 7 rebounds.

The Oilers clamped down the Mustangs, limiting them to only 7 points in the first quarter, maintaining the mommentum for the duration of the game.

The Mustangs will be back in action on June 25 as they face Team Titans while the Oilers will be up against Team Sibak on June 18.
