The Gummy Bears are on the verge of entering the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 Finals for the third straight season as they defeated RamBall in Game 1 of their best-of-three semifinals series, 100-72, on Saturday, July 15 at the APC Gymnasium.
Seven Gummy Bears players scored in double digits, led by Lester de Luna with 19 points plus 8 rebounds. Joemark Belardo had a near triple double performance of 13 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Alex Tagle scored a season high of 16 points.
For RamBall, Arvin Masaoy was their top scorer, finishing with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals. Jaycee Magsalos and Dudley Flores scored 12 points each.
Game 2 of their semifinals series will be played on July 22 at 4:00pm.
