Gummy Bears enters Finals, sweeps RamBall

The Gummy Bears will enter the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Finals for the fourth time in team history as they swept Team RamBall, 74-54, during Game 2 of their best-of-three semifinals series on Saturday, July 22 at the APC Gymnasium.

Gaining their third consecutive Finals berth since Season 5 (2019), they will wait for the result of the Richmond Oilers-OGs semifinals rubber match on July 29.

Three Gummies scored in double digits. Leading the pack is Lester de Luna with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Alex Tagle got a near triple-double output of 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, while Caloy Galido got 10 points and 2 rebounds.

For RamBall, Jaycee Magsalos was their leading scorer with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Christian Amparo finished the game with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Rookie of the Year Arvin Masaoy got 8 points and 11 rebounds.

Game 1 of the Best-of-Three championship series will begin on August 5.
