Masaoy save RamBall vs Restbak
Arvin Masaoy spearheaded a second half 14-0 scoring run, enough to propel RamBall to their first semifinals appearance in team history, defeating Team Restbak 72-62, during the APCRAA Basketball Tournament quarterfinal knockout round on Saturday, July 1, at the APC Gymnasium.
The RamBall rookie finished with 26 points – all scored during the 2nd half, plus 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Clifford Austria and Dadulla scored 13 points each.
Down by as much as 15 points in the 3rd quarter, Masaoy together with Joel Carag and Rainiel Dadulla orchestrated a scoring run and regaining the lead with 8:17 remaining in the fourth quarter, 54-53.
For Restbak, Jeff Bacong carried most of the scoring load with 25 points, with 13 rebounds and 3 blocks. Christian Gabon had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists.
RamBall will be facing the winner of the Gummy Bears-Knights knockout game, scheduled on July 8.
