Team OGs punches a ticket to the semifinal round of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 after defeating Team Titans, 94-86, during the quarterfinals knockout round on Saturday, July 1 at the APC Gymnasium.
This will be OGs first semifinals appearance since Season 3 (2017), when they were able to go to the championship round, facing the eventual champions, Team ASPAC (now known as Sheesh). They will be up against Richmond Oilers in the best of three semifinal round beginning on July 15.
Pepe Canseco led the OGs in scoring with 28 points plus 15 rebounds and 2 blocks. JP Redelick rained on three point shooting with 4 out of 10 shots made beyond the arc, scoring 21 points with 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Sean Montemayor and Ralph Artigas scored 15 and 10 points respectively.
For the Titans, rookie Anton Besana scored a career high 26 points, carrying the scoring load for the team. Rainiel Montaril and Matt Hernando contributed 17 points each.
