Krispy Team is on the verge of securing a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinal round after defeating Team Kings, 107-60, at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 8 elimination round on Saturday, July 20, at the APC Gymnasium.
The only undefeated team in the elimination round, the defending champions currently sits at the top spot in Group A and will only need to win against Team Titans on July 27 to sweep the group and earn the twice-to-beat advantage going in the quarterfinals.
Archie Gratil and Jayvee Reyes both got 19 points each while Guess dela Cuesta had a near triple-double game with 12 points, 17 rebounds and 9 assists.
For the Kings, Humphrey Pimentel had a double-double output of 15 points and 10 rebounds while Deo Aldon had 14 points and 10 rebounds. The Kings will play their final elimination round game against Team Knights on July 27.
