RamBall survive Mischiefs scare

Team RamBall dodged a third quarter run by Mischiefs, escaping with a 74-70 victory at the last day of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 8 elimination round on Saturday, August 3 at the APC Gymnasium.

While RamBall led by as much as 21 points in the third quarter, Team Mischiefs took advantage of RamBall’s lack of manpower, with only 6 players available to play for this game, then finally took the lead midpoint of the fourth quarter, 61-60. However, RamBall regained their composure and got the lead back, holding it until the final buzzer.

Arvin Masaoy led all scorers for RamBall, who got 26 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals. Clifford Austria contributed 19 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists while Dudley Flores finished with a double-double output of 14 points and 19 rebounds.

RamBall will advance to the quarterfinal round to face Richmond Oilers on August 10, with the winner advancing to the best-of-three semifinals.
