Sibak on a roll, block Hoopers
Team Sibak dodged a Team Hoopers fourth quarter comeback, 77-74, at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 8 elimination round on Saturday, July 20 at the APC Gymnasium.
Sibak is now on a three game winning streak, and tied with Stage One OGs and Richmond Oilers with a 3-1 record. Elite Hoopers slid down to a 1-2 win-loss card and must win their final two assignments to at least secure a quarterfinals berth.
Darrel Insigne was Sibak’s top scorer with 23 points, with 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Jay-Rix Dimara contributed 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Julian Nones had a double-double game with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists.
Carlo Aboboto had a double-double output in his season debut game for the Hoopers with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Levi Pe Benito and JR Quinia contributed 14 and 13 points respectively.
Sibak will play their final elimination round game on July 27 against Team Restbak while the Elite Hoopers will play against Richmond Oilers on the same day.
