Stage One OGs rained down three point shots to finish the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 8 elimination round, beating Team Kaizen, 121-78, on Saturday, August 3 at the APC Gymnasium.
Paolo Diaz drained 15 three point shots, breaking the all-time record for most three point shots made in a game set by his teammate, JP Redelick in 2019. Diaz finished with a career high 47 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. Jon Timbre added 13 points, with 3 rainbow shots made out of 8 attempts, plus 4 rebounds. Pepe Canseco had a double-double game with 10 points and 16 rebounds with 8 assists.
For Team Kaizen, three players finished with a 20+ point contribution. Khenjie Sanchez had 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Jayvee Febrer had a double-double game, finishing with 22 points 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Rom Gloria had 20 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists.
The OGs will face Team Titans in the quarterfinal round on August 10, with the winner advancing to the best-of-three semifinals.
