APCRAA to honor pioneer players in Season 9 opening
In celebration of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament’s 10th anniversary, the Asia Pacific College Rams Alumni Association (APCRAA) will honor the five active pioneer players when it opens its 9th season of its alumni basketball tournament at the APC Gymnasium on May 24, 2025.
Only five players have played continuously since the APCRAA Basketball Tournament played its first game on March 15, 2015. These are Julian Vener Agito (Ternion OGs), Vicente Agdamag Jr. (Sibak), Guess dela Cuesta (Tostitos), Archie Gratil (Tostitos) and JP Redelick (Ternion OGs).
Agito is the team captain of the pioneer team OGs. Agdamag played for ASPAC Boys for five seasons, then transferred to Sibak in Season 6. JP Redelick played continuously for the OGs. He currently is the all-time leader for the most three point shots made and he also became the first player to score at least 500 points in his career.
Dela Cuesta and Gratil both played for the pioneer Warriors team then transferred to Bumblebees in Season 5. Both players have won five championships: three with the Warriors and two with the Bumblebees, the most number of championships from any player in ABT history. Gratil became the first recipient of the Most Valuable Player award in the 2015 first conference while Dela Cuesta got his MVP plum last season.
