Kings survive Mischiefs comeback

The Kings survived a fourth quarter run by the Mischiefs, winning the game with a three point margin, 51-48, as the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 9 D-League division begins on May 24, at the APC Gymnasium.

Leading by as much as 16 points in the third quarter, the Kings leading margin decreased thanks to a 7-0 run by the Mischiefs. The Kings were able to hold on to the lead by the fourth quarter until the final buzzer.

Team captain Franz Alegre led the Kings with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Humphrey Pimentel contributed 11 points and 2 rebounds while Deo Aldon and Jhed Bunagan scored 6 points each.

For the Mishciefs, EJ Solomon led the charge with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists, followed by Joshua Padua, who finished with 10 points, and 3 rebounds.

Both teams will be back in action on June 7, with the Kings facing Ramball at 1:00pm, while the Mischiefs will challenge Renaissance at 4:00pm.
