Rams trample Tostitos in ABT debut

The APC Rams passed their first test in the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 9 elite division, defeating Season 8 finalists Tostitos in their debut game, 91-79 on Saturday, May 31 at the APC Gymnasium.

As a way to help the varsity team to prepare them in competitions outside APC, APCRAA invited them to play in the elite division.

The Rams took control most of the game, leading by as much as 16 points in the 3rd quarter.

Justine Hernando led the Rams in scoring with 25 points, plus 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Manveer Singh contributed 19 points and 6 rebounds while Kurt Soloria added 16 points in the Rams’ scoring column.

Totitos’ team captain Brix Estabillo led the team in scoring with 21 points. Lester de Luna finished with a double-double performance of 16 points and 16 rebounds while Daniel Oamil scored 18 points with 2 rebounds.

The Rams will resume their campaign on June 7, facing the Ternion OGs while the Tostitos will be back in action on June 14 and will be up against Veni Vidi Vici.
