Team Sibak got their first ever win in team history at the expense of Team Kaizen, 73-52, at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 8 elimination round on Saturday, June 22 at the APC Gymnasium.
The win snaps Sibak’s 11-game losing streak, dating back from Season 6 when they first joined the alumni tournament.
Jess Carrillo led Sibak in scoring with 22 points, plus 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 6 steals and 2 blocks. Darrel Insigne contributed 17 points with 8 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.
For Kaizen, Jayvee Febrer and Christian Tragico contributed 16 points each.
Sibak will be back in action on July 6 facing Richmond Oilers while Kaizen will be up against Elite Hoopers on June 29.
