Stage One OGs tank Titan

Stage One OGs will make their second consecutive appearance in the APCRAA Basketball Tournament semifinals after defeating Team Titans, 93-88, on Saturday, August 10 at the APC Gymnasium.

Both teams faced each other last season, with the OGs also winning the quarterfinal matchup, 94-86.

Genesis Reyes, one of the frontrunners in this season’s rookie of the year race, led the scoring for Stage One OGs, finishing with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Jon Timbre shot the lights out in the three point arc, making 5 out 9 nine attempts and ended the game scoring 20 points with 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

For the Titans, Justin Hernando contributed 27 points with 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Reimond Trinidad had a double-double output of 22 points and 10 rebounds.

The Stage One OGs will face defending champions Krispy Team in the best-of-three semifinals beginning August 17.
