After slugging it out on last year’s Women’s Division six-game series, Team Rebels and Dream Team have merged into a single team for the upcoming APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament (AABT) 2016 season.
The new team will be known as the Ram Squad, and will be the only APC alumni team to compete for this year’s women’s division tournament. Co-headed by Casey Carrillo and Marion Chloe Cambay, the team retained most of the Dream Team’s players, such as Raisa Nasara, Ahmlet Dulay, Shana Santos and Krizia Valdez among others, while adding Jenny Francisco, Ella Taroma and Dianne Mercado from the Rebels. They have also added two non-APC alumni players, Meriam Belamede and Thea Talisayon, to beef up their roster and be competitive against two guest teams who previously competed for the Kings of the Court Queens division.
The 2016 AABT season will start on Saturday, August 6, with a women’s division game serving as a curtainraiser after the opening ceremonies.
