Returning teams, APC staff team sign up for AABT 2016 season

All four teams who entered the semifinals of last year’s 2015 APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament 2nd Conference will return for this year’s tourney. Team OG, Bumblebees, ASPAC Boys and reigning champion Warriors have already submitted their lineups to the tournament board before the July 28 deadline.

The Warriors, headed by team captain George Nartia, will still include their core players Archie Gratil, Guess dela Cuesta and RJ Villegas, who helped them win two straight titles, minus Pepe Canseco, who moved to Team Alpha.

Last year’s runner-up Team OGs will still have Mhar Paraiso, JP Redelick and Paolo Diaz as their main guns, while adding new players Rey Prayco, and Jahn Arvey Dakuton in their roster.

There were no major changes to Team Bumblebees’ lineup, which is still headed by Brix Estabillo, who recorded the only triple-double in last year’s tournament. Norman Ringor, Dexter de Guzman and Joemark Belardo will still play for the team.

The ASPAC Boys retained their core players of James Armedilla, Mark Pagaduan, Rover Magbitang and team captain VG Agdamag with no significant changes in their rosters.

Also joining this season is newcomers Cav Guards. The Cavs, headed by team captain Mervin Quilang will be composed of APC school employees and guards, along with two graduating students.

Team Alpha, who is the first to submit their lineup to the tournament committee completes the six-team competition.
