Team Keng’s emerged the leader in the team standings of the APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament (AABT) 2016 season Women’s Division as they defeated fellow guest team Boleras, 72-67 on Saturday, September 10 at the APC Gymnasium.
Ann Flores, who is making her debut game for Team Kengs made a double-double performance of 34 points, shooting 14 out of 22 markers (63.6 field goal percentage), and 18 rebounds. Micmac Iida contributed 17 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Kinni Eala and Riki Convencido of Team Boleras both scored 20 points each, with 9 and 6 rebounds respectively.
Team Boleras were in control for the first three quarters of the game. In the fourth quarter, Team Keng’s took the lead as the Boleras began to struggle with missed shots.
The next game for the women’s division will be on September 17, as Team Boleras will meet the Ram Squad to begin the second round of the eliminations.
