Three more teams join Men’s Division, Women’s division will include guest teams

Three teams for the men’s division and one team for the women’s division submitted their lineups for the upcoming APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament (AABT) next month.

Team Warriors, headed by George Nartia will still retain the same players from their championship team which includes tournament MVP Archie Gratil.

The ASPAC Boys, lead by VG Agdamag have added new players in their roster to have better chance on improving their runner-up finish last conference.

A new team also registered for the tournament. Headed by 2015 graduate Jam Lardizabal, the team will adopt “Legacy” as their monicker, They have included fresh graduates Kevin Michael Gener and Jeff Montojo as their players.

Additional teams are also expected to submit their lineups, as the committee has extended the submission of requirements up to September 1.

Meanwhile in the Women’s Division, the Dream Team have submitted their roster which includes team captain KC Carrillo, Krizia Valdez and Rose Flores among others. Team Powerhouse, the last tournament’s champions, have not signified their interest in joining the upcoming tournament.

Due to the lack of teams in the Women’s Division, the tournament’s committee have decided to include guest teams from different schools. This is in part of APCRAA’s goal in strengthening the camaraderie within the Asia Pacific College’s alumni community as well as the development of women’s basketball among the school’s graduates and students.
