ASPAC outlasts OGs

Team ASPAC is on track to get a twice-to-beat advantage in the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) 2017 season Men’s Division playoff round by defeating Team OGs, 89-85, on Saturday, July 29, at the APC Gymnasium.

Carlo Aboboto and Mark Pagaduan of Team ASPAC scored 31 points each. JP Redelick of Team OGs had his season-high output of 31 points with 3 rebounds and 6 assists.

ASPAC was in control of the game in the first half, leading by as much as 9 points. But a scoring run from Team OGs decreased the lead and eventually went ahead before the end of the third period.

Aboboto suffered a sprained ankle in rebound play in the fourth quarter. This, however, did not stop Team ASPAC to regain the lead and eventually win the game as the buzzer sounded.

On August 5, Team ASPAC will square off with Team Bumblebees at 6:30pm while Team OGs will be up against Team Alpha at 5:00pm.
