Two-time ABT champions Team 2K15 tallied their second win in the 2018 season of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) elimination round by defeating Team Knights, 70-53 on Saturday, July 21 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.
2K15 rookie Abe Rashid Tanco had a breakout game with 29 points and 14 rebounds. Brothers Edwin and Archie Gratil scored 10 and 9 points respectively. Knight’s Mark Rivera had a double-double game, with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Team captain Jhonel De Luna scored 8 points and secured 12 boards.
Team 2k15 took control most of the game. While the Knights were able to lead up to four points in the second quarter, Team 2k15 regained the lead before halftime and broke the game wide open by the fourth quarter.
Both teams will be back in action on July 28 as Team 2K15 will meet defending champions Team ASPAC at 5pm while Team Knights faces off fellow expansion team Mille at 6:30pm.
