Engineering All-Stars down Team Legacy

The Engineering All-Stars outclassed Team Legacy by making a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter to tally their first win in the 2015 APCRAA Alumni Basketball Tournament (AABT) 2nd Conference, 56-43, on Saturday, September 19 at the APC Gymnasium.

Three of the All-Stars lead their team in scoring, with Jeomar Belen having a double-double output with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Michael San Diego also helped the All-Stars by grabbing 16 rebounds.

The All-Stars dominated the first three quarters of the game but Team Legacy orchestrated a 6-0 run, and gaining the lead before the end of the third quarter, 37-34. However in the fourth quarter, Legacy was not able to sustain their lead due to multiple missed shots. The All-Stars regained the lead at the 7-minute mark of the final quarter and Legacy’s woes continued to haunt them as they went scoreless since then.

The next game for the Engineering All-Stars will be on October 3 against ASPAC Boys, while Legacy will also face ASPAC as their second opponent on October 10.
