ABT Season 5 tips off

The Asia Pacific College Rams Alumni Association formally opened its fifth season of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) on Saturday, July 6 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.

Representatives from the ten men’s division teams and three women’s division teams took part in the traditional parade of teams. Tournament Commissioner and APCRAA president Dann Garcia gave the opening remarks and thanked the teams for participating this season.

Guests of honor Dr. Ma. Teresita “Tata” Medado (APC President), together with Dr. Paulino Y. Tan (former APC president), Ms. Johanna Minglana (APC Executive Director for Student Services) and Mr. Kenneth Rafanan II (APC Alumni Affairs head) graced the event.

The oath of sportsmanship was led by Jhonel De Luna, captain of the 2018 runners-up, Team Knights.

Dr. Medado gave the closing remarks and formally declared the season open. She also made the ceremonial toss before the start of the season’s first game between expansion teams Mustangs and RamBall.
