Cookies & Team swept Group B of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Men’s Division elimination after defeating Richmond Oilers, 81-75, on Saturday, August 24 at the Asia Pacific College gymnasium.
This will give Cookies a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinal round, which will start on August 31.
Cookies’ team captain Brix Estabillo led with 27 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Norman Ringor had a near double-double game with 9 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists.
Last year’s MVP Abe Tanco scored 23 points and added 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Richmond Oilers. Renzo Macaraeg scored 12 points with 17 rebounds.
