Titans score win vs ASPAC

Titans won their second victory in the ongoing APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Season 5 men’s division elimination round after defeating ASPAC, 87-83 on Saturday, August 24 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.

This is also the first time Titans defeated ASPAC in their team history.

Rookie Jayvee Febrer became the first player from Titans to have a triple-double game with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Team captain Jaime Juadines topped all players in scoring with 32 points, with 3 rebounds and 3 assists.

Kevin Vasquez of ASPAC had a double-double game of 24 points, 10 rebounds with 2 assists. Carlo Aboboto also had a double-double in his first game this season with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Titans controlled the game’s pace from tipoff and had a margin as high as 17 points in the 2nd quarter. They kept the lead in double digits until the final minutes of the third quarter.

In the final period, ASPAC was able to decrease the Titans’ lead by 3 points with three minutes left in the game. However, Juadines scored 2 straight three-point shots to push the Titans lead again to 7 points, then held off an ASPAC rally led by Vasquez.
