Knights remained undefeated after scoring their third win against Mustangs, 105-78, at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Season 5 Men’s Division elimination round on Saturday, August 3 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.
The win made the Knights the top team in Group A, and is about to grasp the twice-to-beat advantage in the crossover quarterfinal round.
Both teams had a limited roster in the game. Knights only played with 8 players while Mustangs had only 7 available players in their bench.
Ley Cerrado and Jhonel De Luna topped the Knights in scoring with 25 points each. Nonoy Sonbise contributed 23 points.
Mustangs’ Carl Lavarro had his career high of 37 points, with 6 three point shots made. Christian Tragico contributed 16 points, while adding 5 rebounds and 3 assists in his stat line.
