Knights slay ASPAC

Team Knights continued their winning streak in the ongoing APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Season 5 men’s division elimination round after dominating ASPAC, 100-78 on Saturday, July 27 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.

With only 5 players available for ASPAC at the start of the game, the Knights routed a 22-0 run from tip-off, shattering the record for most consecutive unaswered points, both overall and from the start of the game. The lead decreased as more ASPAC players arrived for the game but a 10-0 Knights blast in the final quarter buried any chances for an ASPAC comeback.

The game also set new individual all-time records. Knight’s team captain Jhonel de Luna swatted 10 blocks, setting the new record for most blocks in a game. Likewise JC Hermo dished 16 assists, the new record for most assists in a game.

ASPAC’s BJ Radana finished with a double-double game of 25 points and 12 rebounds. VG Agdamag and Art Plan contributed 15 and 13 points respectively.
