Predators sweep elims, trample BNS

Team Predators completed a four-game sweep in the elimination round of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament (ABT) Season 5 women’s division after beating BNS, 49-32, on Saturday, September 7 at the Asia Pacific College Gymnasium.

The Predators were also the first team to sweep the elimination round since the women’s division basketball tournament started in 2015.

BNS finished the elimination round with a 1-3 record. Although they are tied with Hydra in the standings, BNS have secured the right to face the Predators in the championship game on September 28 or October 3 due to a superior quotient.

Michele Alison of the Predators had her career breakout game, finishing with 12 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Leading MVP candidate Jen Francisco had a double-double game of 10 points and 16 rebounds. Rookie Jiezl-Ann Turo also finished with a double-double stat line of 10 points and 11 rebounds.

BNS’ Marion Cambay led her team in scoring with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Casey Carillo came in second with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
