Team Mille opened their campaign in the APCRAA Basketball Tornament Season Six men’s division elimination round with a win against Team OGs, 84-77 on Saturday, June 11 at the APC Gymnasium.
David Yokoi led Team Mille in scoring with 26 points and 3 rebounds. Ryan Go, who just transferred to Mille this season scored 18 points with 5 rebounds and 2 blocks.
JP Redelick dropped 17 points while rookie Sean Montemayor and Mhar Paraiso contributed to the OG cause with 16 and 15 points respectively.
Before the start of the game, Mhar Paraiso was presented with the tournament ball after joining the 500 points club. He scored his 500th point in 2019 during their elimination round game against Team Mille. He also became the third OGs player and 6th in the league to surpass the 500 point plateau.
Team OGs had a headstart in the first quarter, leading by as much as 11 points. By the second quarter, Yokoi showed his scoring prowless, helping Mille to secure the lead by the 2nd half.
The OGs will be back in action on June 18 as they face Team Knights while Team Mille wil be playing against Team Alpha on July 2.
