BUMBLEBEES STING MUSTANGS, RINGOR GRAB 500 REBOUND MILESTONE

Team Bumblebees got off their title defense to a good start as they won with a resounding victory against Mustangs, 87-65 on the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season Six elimination round on Saturday, June 4, at the APC Gymnasium.

Norman Ringor dominated the game with 21 points, 12 rebound and 4 assists. He also became the first player in ABT history to become a member of the 500-rebounds club after getting his 500th rebound at the 6:07 mark of the 1st quarter. Lester de Luna finished the game with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the Bumblebees. Team captain Brix Estabillo had 8 points, 8 rebounds with 1 steal, 1 more steal to become the the first member of the league’s 100 steals club.

For the Mustangs, Jayvee Febrer led the team in scoring with 20 points with 5 rebounds. Carl Lavarro added 14 points, and 4 rebounds to aid their team.

Bumblebees dominated most of the game, with the lead reaching by as much as 27 points in the final quarter.

Both teams will be back in action in June 11 as Mustangs will face Richmond Oilers while Bumblebees matches up against Sibak.
