Team Mille got their second victory in the ongoing APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season Six men’s division elimination round after defeating Team Alpha, 60-57 on Saturday, July 2 at the APC Gymnasium.
David Yokoi led the scoring for Team Mille with 19 points with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Team captain Ryan Acdal contributed 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Ryan Go had a near double-double performance with 9 points and 10 rebounds.
For Team Alpha, Jopet Gamboa contributed 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals while Alex Tagle had his best performance this season with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
The game went neck on next in the first half, with Mille holding to a three point lead by halftime. By the third quarter, Team Mille was able to increase the lead to 10. They hold on to the lead until the fourth quarter.
Team Mill will be playing their third game in the elimiation round on July 16 to face Team Knights while Team Alpha will be back on July 23 up against Team OGs.
