Team OGs secured their first victory in the ongoing APCRAAA Basketball Tournament Season Six men’s division elimination round after defeating Team 2k18, 76-73 on Saturday, July 2 at the APC Gymnasium.
JP Redelick performed his best game this sesaon for Team OGs scoring 27 points, 4 out of 11 from the three point arc with 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Mhar Paraiso had a double-double performance of 14 pointss and 15 rebounds.
For Team 2k18, Guess dela cuesta led the team in scoring with 20 points with 17 rebounds. Rookie Joel Carag had 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The game between the rival teams was close, with 7 lead changes and 4 ties. Redelick exploded in the rainbow arc to gain the lead before the end of the quarter. By the fourth quarter, Jon Timbre, Charles Digo, and Paraiso helped Redelick to hold on to the lead up to the final buzzer.
Both OGs and 2k18 will be playing their final elimination round game on July 23. OGs will face Alpha while 2k18 will be up against Team Mille.
