Team Knights notched their first win in the APCRAA Basketball Touranment Season Six men’s division elimination round after defeating Team OGs, 85-77 on Saturday, June 18 at the APC Gymnasium.
Carlo Aboboto had a career game for Team Knights, scoring 28 points with 25 rebounds and 7 assists. Jhonel de Luna contributed 20 points with 8 rebounds. Jaime Juadines scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
For Team OGs, JP Redelick led all scorers with 29 points with 7 out of 14 shots at the three point line. Rookie Sean Montemayor contributed 14 points. Levi Pe Benito had a double double performance with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Team OGs had a great start in the first half raining 6 out of 17 in the rainbow arc. By the second half, Team Knights got the momentum as Aboboto, Juadines and de Luna scored from the inside to counter the OGs onslaught behind the arc.
The Knights will be back in action on June 25 as they face Team Alpha while the OGs will be playing their third game on July 2 against Team 2k18.
