Defending champions Team Bumblebees goes to the semifinal round of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season Six men’s division playoffs after defeating Team Alpha, 71-66 on Saturday, August 13 at the APC Gymnasium.
Team Bumblebees will face the winner of the Richmond Oilers-2k18 quarterfinal matchup on September 3 in the best-of-three semifinals.
Brix Estabillo led the Bumblebees in scoring with 24 points with 6 rebounds. He is also inching closer to become the first player in ABT history to score at least 1000 career points. Lester De Luna finished with a double double of 17 points and 19 rebounds. Norman Ringor also had a double-double game with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Team Alpha’s Jopet Gamboa finished with a double-double statline of 23 points and 11 rebounds. Alex Tagle contributed 17 rebounds and 5 rebounds. Jeff Bacong had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
