Knights draw first blood in SF series vs Mille

Team Knights grabbed Game 1 of their APCRAA Basketball Tournament best of three semis series against Team Mille, 81-62 on Saturday, September 3 at the APC Gymnasium.

This is also Mille’s first loss for this season, as they finished the elimination round with a spotless 4-0 and winning their quarterfinals match against Team OGs.

Knights took advantage of the absence of Dave Yokoi in the first half, by establishing a 19 point lead by halftime. They carried on with the double-digit lead up to the final buzzer.

JC Hermo had a double-double outing of 12 points and 16 assists, tying the record for the most number of assists in a game he set on July 27, 2019 against Team ASPAC. Christian Tragico scored the most points for the Knights with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 stels. Jhonel de Luna also finished with a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds with 4 steals.

Yokoi ended up with 23 points, 21 scored in the second half with 7 rebounds. Chris Javier holded the Mille fort with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Ryan Acdal finished with 9 points and 7 rebounds.

Game Two of this best-of-three affair will be played on Saturday, September 10 at 4:00pm.
