JC Hermo, Almo bring havoc as Knights edge Bumblebees in Game One

Team Knights draws first blood in the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season Six Men’s Division best-of-three Finals after defeating Team Bumblebees in Game One, 87-85, on Saturday, September 17 at the APC Gymnasium.

JC Hermo and Keane Almo poured down heavy on the three point arch as they scored four consecutive shots at the rainbow arc to give the Knights a 10-point cushion in the fourth quarter.

Hermo, the current leader in the league’s all-time assists records finished with 28 points, 57% in the three point line, with 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Almo scored 11 points, 75% in the three point line, with 4 assists.

Norman Ringor contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Bumblebees, while Brix Estabillo scored 20 points; bringing him closer to become the first player in ABT history to score 1000 career points.

Game Two of the best-of-three finals will be played on September 24 at 4:00pm.
