Team Knights opened their APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 campaign with a victory against Team Kings, 103-69 on Saturday, May 6 at the APC Gymnasium.
The Knights limited Team Kings to only 8 points in the second quarter; the lowest score of any team in a quarter since Team Legacy’s 5-point output in the first quarter of their game against Team OGs on November 8, 2015.
Carlo Aboboto had a near triple-double game with 17 points, 23 rebounds and 9 assists. Team captain Jhonel de Luna led all scorers for the Knights with 22 points with 6 assists.
For the Kings, team captain Franz Alegre scored 19 points with 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Jhed Bunagan contributed 15 points, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.
Team Knights will return to action on May 13 as they go up against Team Titans while the Kings will face-off against Richmond Oilers on May 20.
