Team Mille dominated their first game of the season against Team Mamba, 78-49 at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 on Saturday, May 13 at the APC Gymnasium.
Mille controlled both ends of the court, limiting Mamba to only 8 points at the 2nd quarter. Paolo Diaz went sizzling hot in the three point arch making 5 out of 6 shots in the rainbow area. He finished with 15 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Dino Javier got the defensive side covered with 8 blocks, plus 6 points and 13 rebounds. Last year’s Most Improved Player Ryan Go had a double-double game with 11 points and11 rebounds.
For Mamba, Jayvee Febrer was the lone double digit scorer for the team with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. Arnold Juaneza comes in second with 8 points and 2 rebounds.
Both teams will face off with last season’s runner’s up Team Gummy Bears. Team Mamba will be their first opponent on May 20 then Team Mille on May 27.
