Team Gummy Bears retain their undefeated record after defeating Team Sheesh, 82-66, at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 elimination round on Saturday, June 10 at the APC Gymnasium.
A fourth quarter run by Sheesh decreased the Gummy Bears’ double digit lead to one point with 7:30 remaining in the game but Guess dela Cuesta and Lester de Luna generated their own run to raise the Gummy Bears lead to 14 points with 3:40 remaining.
De Luna finished a season high 22 points, with 14 rebounds and 2 assists. Dela Cuesta had a double-double performance of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
Perennial scorer Peter Abarracoso led Sheesh in scoring with 21 points, with 12 rebounds and 3 assists. JR Quinia ended the game with 11 points and 2 rebounds.
The Gummy Bears will play its final game on June 17 facing undefeated Team OGs while Sheesh will play the final elimination round game against Team Mamba on June 24.
