Peter Abarracoso made a resounding debut for Team Sheesh to give them their first win against Team Mille, 82-72 at the continuation of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 elimination round on Saturday, June 3 at the APC Gymnasium.
The win gave Sheesh a 1-2 record and are tied with Mille and Restback in Group B.
Abarracoso poured down 31 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in his first game in the alumni tournament. Levi Pe Benito made a double-double in his first game this season; 15 points and 10 rebounds with 3 assists.
Sheesh led most of the game reaching by as much as 21 points in the 4th quarter. Things got heated up when Mille’s BJ Levita got thrown out after incurring his 2nd unsportsmanlike foul in the 3rd quarter. Yambao and Pe Benito also had a heated exchange at the 4:26 mark of the 4th quarter. Both were called for technical fouls.
Yambao finished the game with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Teammate Chris Javier was Mille’s top scorer with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.
Team Sheesh will be back in action on June 10 as they face Team Gummy Bears while Mille will be up against Team Restback on June 17.
