Sheesh enters playoffs, defeats undermanned Mamba

Team Sheesh punched a ticket to the quarterfinal round after winning against Team Mamba, 131-100, at the conclusion of the APCRAA Basketball Tournament Season 7 elimination round on Saturdya, June 24 at the APC Gymnasium.

With the victory, Sheesh forced a triple tie with Restbak and Mille, all had a 2-3 win-loss card. Restbak will be at third place due to superior quotient between the tied teams, followed by Sheesh at fourth place. Meanwhile, Mille will be eliminated due to inferior quotient.

With only five players available for Team Mamba, Sheesh scored the most number of team points in a game, surpassing the current record of 125 points, set by Sheesh, when they were still known as ASPAC during Season 3 on September 8, 2018 against Team Mille.

Peter Abarracoso played his first career triple double output of 16 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. Joel Baloro was Sheesh’s top scorer with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 1 assist. Armand Nayve got hot in the three point region with 7 out of 13 three point shots made.

For Team Mamba, Jasper Fabian was their top scorer, with 30 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Welmar Esparas scored 26 points with 12 rebounds and 3 assists.

Team Sheesh will face Group A’s #1 seed, Richmond Oilers on Saturday in the quarterfinal round.
