{"id":1354,"date":"2025-03-29T21:07:32","date_gmt":"2025-03-29T13:07:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alumni.apc.edu.ph\/basketball\/?p=1354"},"modified":"2025-06-13T11:01:34","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T03:01:34","slug":"abt-season-9-to-feature-two-mens-division-tournaments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alumni.apc.edu.ph\/basketball\/2025\/abt-season-9-to-feature-two-mens-division-tournaments\/","title":{"rendered":"ABT Season 9 to feature two men&#8217;s division tournaments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For the first time in APCRAA Basketball Tournament&#8217;s history, the men&#8217;s division will be split into two tournaments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan was approved by the APCRAA Board of Trustees, with consultation from the 11 team captains that will be participating in Season 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the new format, the top six teams in Season 8 will be assigned in the elite division while the other teams will be designated in the d-league division. Both tournaments will have a separate set of champions and individual awards. The champion in the d-league division will be promoted to the elite division the following season, while the last place team in the elite division will be relegated to the d-league division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This format will encourage the lower tier teams from the past seasons to be promoted to the elite division and at the same time, a different set of awards and championships will be at stake, giving the d-league players a chance to be rewarded for their efforts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the first time in APCRAA Basketball Tournament&#8217;s history, the men&#8217;s division will be split into two tournaments.
